Love In the Details

It is often said that love is in the details, and that is even more true on your wedding day. Beyond the big moments, the hype, and monumental acts of dedication there are so many ways to show your love and appreciation for people in the details of your wedding day. In 2025, we have seen so many creative and sweet ways to show love to your spouse and loved ones in the details and here are a few that we love!

  1. Bouquet Dedication:

A new trend that has become popular this year is a bouquet dedication for the mother of the bride. Most of the time the mother of the bride is highly involved with the planning of the wedding, and it can be such a sweet way to honor her specifically during the wedding. This usually takes place during the reception speeches and toasts. The bride or couple will take the mic and make a surprise dedication to the mother, highlighting gratitude for the wedding and honoring her character and love.

2.First Touch:

Another trend we have seen built in 2025 is a first touch instead of a first look. A lot of couples opt out of first looks so they can first see each other during the ceremony. However, this can create a lot of nerves, so couples have started doing a “first touch” instead. During a “first touch” the couple stands on two sides of a wall or door and are able to hold hands and talk to each other before the ceremony. Couples take this time to exchange personal vows, gifts, and even pray for the day and their marriage.

3. Something Borrowed:

The “something borrowed” tradition is nothing new but we have seen the affects and cherished moments from this little detail. This trend consists of the bride wearing or “borrowing” an item of clothing or piece of jewelry from a relative or loved one on the wedding day or at a wedding event. We have seen brides turn their mothers wedding dress into reception dresses, veils from mothers or grandmothers, and jewelry that has been passed down as an heirloom. This sweet detail honors family and shows generations of love that are being passed down in a family.

4. Anniversary Dance:

An “anniversary dance” is a fun and cute way to celebrate the couples that have been married the longest at your wedding. The DJ will call all the married couples onto the dance floor and start listing off years as the song plays. The couples will dance as long as they have been married and as the DJ continues to call out years more will step off the dance floor. The last couple standing wins and is honored for their marriage and dedication to each other.

As your wedding day unfolds love is in extravagance but it is even more in the details. You will remember the love you felt, the love your guests felt, and the creative ways you chose to honor those who mean the world to you. Whether it's a dedicated bouquet, an heirloom, a slow dance, or a time of connection before you walk down the aisle, every moment holds a piece of your love and character. We love seeing the creative and intentional ways people show love in the details of their wedding day so please let us know what kind of special moments you choose to incorporate into your wedding day!
